Some of you guys may wonder why book freaks crave books so much. When they find a new book within reach, somewhere in the back of the mind they feel a sensation that they go, pick that up, sit down for a day and finish reading it(though not coming out of it ;)). If you are one who feels this act to be a weird one, that isn’t your mistake. You either have not experienced reading or might not have picked up the correct one. Trust me, when you know what your genre is, you will definitely end up being one among those freaks. So, here are 5 books you should read if you are a beginner or also if you hate reading.
BOOKS YOU SHOULD READ:
#5 The Unexpected Guest by Agatha Christie
Genre: Crime thriller
If you think fictional crime and thrillers engage your attention, it’s definitely one of the books you should read. Agatha Christie is one of the best promising writers to engage readers until she finishes narrating stories of crime, thriller, and detective genres. In the book, Agatha Christie very tactfully throbs the reader’s consciousness to deal with the unexpected guest. Also, if you picked this up or any book of hers, get ready for the unexpected.
To mention, ‘The murder on the orient express’ and ‘And then there were’ none along are my personal favorites by Agatha Christie.
#4 Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami
Genre: Bildungsroman (mistaken to be romance by few)
In the beginning, the reason I chose this to read was the genre that interested me. I didn’t even know which out of both names in the title, was the novel’s name. Believe me, I cannot suffer to give this book a catchy 2 paragraphed review. This is definitely more than what you assume it to be. Neither a love story nor whatever it can be called. Murakami just sways your soul away along with him, makes you feel and experience all that the main character in the plot does. I really couldn’t get out of the plot. There isn’t any beginning nor an ending. You just trip into the world of Murakami while you flip. Not exaggerating, it’s the best book that will make you experience all the extreme feelings a human can feel.
Warning: It might leave you in tears or might not even leave you alone.
#3 Sita’s Sister by Kavita Kane
Genre: Fiction, Fairytale
This book is not only for people who are into ethics or history. This is for people who crave reality and truth. When we were a child, all of us have heard the Ramayana in just one way of portrayal. But that is not all. It doesn’t just behold the chemistry or hardships of Rama and Sita. Through Sita’s Sister, Kavita Kane reveals the untold story of grievance, the concealed confession of love, and the deprivation of need to live with of soulmate. I can say Kavita Kane has remarkably manifested the Urmila’s sacrifice and love for Lakshman.
PS: I hated how the book ended. I don’t know if it was abrupt, or left me in dissatisfaction because I expected her to write more. Yes, it did leave me in tears. But, it’s a must-read.
#2 The Crush by Sandra Brown
Genre: Suspense, Thriller, Mystery( also romance )
Looks like a huge book? You cannot judge a book by its size too. If you start reading it, it is like any other tinkle magazine in which you finish reading in a jiffy. It’s one other promising book that will plunge you into the shadow of Dr. Rennie Newton(the protagonist). The manner Brown describes Rennie and her moves, the thoughts running in her mind, the murder, and the scenes supporting the secretive piece of paper found at her home is simply more for a 500 paged draft. If you’re a boy, you don’t need a girlfriend when you have Rennie with you. ( XD)
PS: I’ve spent ages talking about Rennie and the plot with my friends. Such is the book. It doesn’t let you sleep without finishing. Remember, it’s one of the books you should read, again stressing.
#1 The Subtle Art of not giving a f*ck by Mark Mason
Genre: Self-help
I’m not a fan of Self-help who feels that it’s merely a waste of time knowing how to improve on something but nothing put forth in action. If you’re on my side, this book will prove you wrong.
1.“Maturity is what happens when one learns to only give a fuck about what’s truly fuckworthy.”
2.“You and everyone you know are going to be dead soon. And in the short amount of time between here and there, you have a limited amount of fucks to give. Very few, in fact. And if you go around giving a fuck about everything and everyone without conscious thought or choice—well, then you’re going to get fucked.”
Mark Mason, a clever blogger(that’s how I describe him) stole the show by mentioning the above two hacks in his f*cking book. What else will I call it when it made me it and letting my mom scold me more for being with another book all day. He also added a dash of real-life experiences that will make that ’emotional YOU’ move.
It’s time you stop reading this article and start implementing what you’ve read now
Enjoy, Happy reading!
