A relationship is one of the most beautiful parts of life. I know all you singles out there might not agree now, but you will once you get into one. There are many ways people get into a relationship, some fall in love with their best friends and some with strangers, whatever be the medium and means but you have absolutely no way to control it. There is neither a measure of time nor a perfect situation over which you will fall in love. One day you just look at each other and realize that this is what you have been waiting for! 

That intense chemistry that draws you towards each other, that sense of humor you share, and that intimacy you feel for each other, everything is just sensational. But sometimes all this happens right about the time you are leaving for a job or higher studies in a new city or when both of you are on a trip and you might have to part when the holiday ends. This is where you have to choose. The brave hearts then choose a long-distance relationship. So, before you sign up for a long-distance relationship, make a note of the below.

Why choose a long-distance relationship?

Because long-distance relationship builds trust. Never give a new person 100% of your trust. It’s like giving the other person a hammer and the permission to break your heart. Trust is something that is built over time. Initially, you have 0% trust in the other person. But all through the journey, facing the hardships and difficulties together, you’ll slowly build your trust, step by step. When people first get into relationships the hardest fear of thought to overcome is, “What if your partner will eventually find a better person than you”? Or, “What if there is a better person out there waiting for you”?

Both these thoughts create a mini little horror in your head. Even when you meet your partner every day, you still fear that they might choose someone else over you. But when you are miles apart and you still see your partner choose you every single day despite the distance and all other possibilities, that simply means your hearts are inseparable.

Things you should be ready for before signing up for a long-distance relationship

● Fight your own battles. Even after all the promises you made to support each other through the hard times, sometimes you are pretty much alone to face them. You cannot expect your man or your girl to come all the way from another state or country just to solve your problem.

● You have to make sacrifices. It may be a weekend get together with friends or a Saturday night sleep, sometimes you have to prioritize your relationship over other things. Because at the end of the day, you have to be with your partner when they need you.

● Technology is both a boon and a bane. While Skype calls and whats-app texts keep you connected all the time, but sometimes the poor connections and technical difficulties at the wrong time when you are having a good talk may seem a little frustrating.

● But yay! You will cherish every second you spend together.  After staying away for months, missing each other during all special occasions, sharing intimate moments over the phone, finally when you get to meet each other in person. That is how a long-distance relationship will always let you know how important every moment is when you spend time together. Surely, you will never take it for granted.
