Everybody’s goal in life ultimately is to lead a stable and organized life. We often hear people suggesting students on a plan and asking them to organize everything accordingly. In reality, it doesn’t matter if you have a plan. The most important thing that counts is ‘to stay organized’. Because organizing is what leads to interest, discipline, practice, consistency, and perfection eventually.
“For every minute spent organizing, an hour is earned”
Whatever be the work or goal, you build it when you start organizing and finally achieve it when you stay organized. So, here are ways to organize things to lead an organized life.
1. Start with your room
“Clean your room and arrange everything in perfect order”, is the most annoying sentence we all have heard since childhood. But these little things that we have taken granted for, are the best steps for a successful life. Mark all those words when your mom yelled at you when you were a kid, that will bring you victory.
· Throw all the unwanted stuff away.
· Put your table clean
· Arrange your books and stationery
· Organize things in your cupboard
· Create a mess out of it- WORK ( I know how we work, that’s okay)
· Reorganize your room once you’ve messed it up
When your room is clean, your chair is free and your workplace is clean. That is when your mind will interest you to work on something peacefully. Even when you don’t have to, you will definitely want to do something when you sit on your chair, trust me!
2. Create notes and pin them
We live in a muddle of different tasks. From meeting personal needs, friends, making appointments, planning days for work or holiday, and not to forget, meeting deadlines. In such chaos, we sometimes forget and skip on a few significant things. That is when making TO-DO lists matter. Again, praising technology. One can make notes on his phone, plan events on his calendar, and set up reminders.
Also, we have cute little ‘stick-on’ and ‘post its’. Jot down stuff and stick ’em on your cupboards, laptops, tables, refrigerators, or any place which will greatly fit into the vision of your eye. Look at them before you go to bed, Ensure things that should be done as scheduled, by the time you sleep.
3. Organize your work
Though many people excel at work, they fail in prioritizing. When you cannot prioritize to do the prime one over the minor ones or the work for which you have ample time, you lose. So you have to schedule work accordingly to make the best out of your potential.
You can again follow the above point 2 to create notes and to organize work.
4. Wind up and then appreciate your organized life
This is what differs you from a hurried man who lives to make money and a man who makes money to live. In any part of life, satisfaction in appreciation weighs more than just achievement. Take a minute to appreciate yourself for what you do to yourself. This is the basic tip to lead a satisfying life that people often miss out on. Moreover, an organized life cannot be termed a life, if it’s in dissatisfaction.
We welcome any more thoughts and views. Happy organizing!
