It’s a child’s first crush,

So as yours and mine,

Vast and vigorous,

Elegant and calm,

In the twilight,

Sounds as soothing as a lullaby.

In behest yawn’s the fiery sun,

As it’s touch dazzles our little hearts,

Unleashing a knight to gallop.

Its combat with the stones is our favorite show,

and a sand castle is our biggest reward,

It’s the same for you and me,

To him and her,

A cache of abiding memories,

That we admire forever…..

Blessed to have been born in a beautiful city of beaches, as a child, I always excited about going to the beach.

I defined beauty as the sea as for how perfect it was.

It always surprised me on how unpredictable it was- sometimes elegant and calm, sometimes outrageous.

It was the most serene moments, in the twilight when the sun rose, as if it came out from the vast beauty. The tiny pleasing waves hit the rocks on the shore and the water splashed in the air. Also being one of those challenging moments to save the little sand castles. It interested me in how the same scenery never stays, piling up reasons on why it’s always the best.

15 years later, now, I remain the same excited kid to go sit by the beach and reminisce. It still continues to surprise me on how it never grows old of beauty and a magical place of energy, peace, and satisfaction.

A cache of abiding memories, it always remains my first crush- The Poseidon’s Realm.
